after finishing reading Every Young Man's Battle, i cant help but switch on e comp and write this entry to declare that GOD LOVES ME! this book's realli headed me into a new direction in life, with new perspectives. the way i view the opp sex now is in a much more friendly and "human-like" way and not as in a sense "sexual objects" where i go "wah very chio!" or "wah hot leh!" kinda thing. i know this entry's prob gonna turn some heads and go like "wow i din expect YQ to be like this" or sth but i wanna realli declare God's love for me cos this book and my action plan according to e book realli has deepened my understanding and relationship with God AND also allowed me to in e future have a better understanding and better pure relatioships with girls! It helped me define wat sexual purity is, how to uphold it, and how to respect girls, myself and God! there was oso this chapter about how the fathers feel. Realli explains a lot on things like "why must we get the parents approval before marrying" and "how does even simply staring and oggling at girls change e way we look at em and the way we respect ourselves as humans?"
furthermore, I'd like to invite u guys out there to get a copy to read. even if it doesnt apply directly or too much to u, there'll definately be powerful revelations. i realli gonna try my best to stop swearing, to stop looking and staring at girls for their mini skirt or drop-dead hot outfit or wateva but to see them as, in a sense, humans, not objects. (dont get me wrong i dun look at girls as objects, juz the few strangers along the street, which is actl VERY bad). also, i'm gonna stop my double-meaning jokes and all. and the difference this time is... I'M GONNA MAKE SURE I SUCCEED! so pl help me along e way if i do stumble here and there.
Thanks Sheila, Michelle and Violet for this book for my bdae present! I'm gonna try get the version for females to try get an even better understanding of how to carry on relationships (not talking abt bgrs) with females and to understand what they think. gonna try get Pastor Eric too to have a discussion on this book and some qtns i have to help me along.
